Oyez oyez, braves gens<\/h3>\n

The town of La Rochefoucauld-en-Angoumois is giving a date to the good people, damsels and beautiful ladies, for a great medieval festival: “La Roche \u00e0 Foucauld<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

Go back in time and immerse yourself in a medieval atmosphere in the park of the castle of La Rochefoucauld<\/strong>, transformed for the occasion. Young and old alike will enjoy two dream days.<\/p>\n

During this festival, you can try your hand at ancient hobbies such as crossbow shooting<\/strong>, archery<\/strong> or axe throwing<\/strong>. You can also attend workshops in vegetable dyeing<\/strong> or pottery<\/strong>. In the heart of the medieval village set up in the shade of the trees in the park, there is a succession of craftsmen (wood sculptor, saffron maker, glass blower, leather work, etc.) as well as archers<\/strong>, string players<\/strong>, bronze founders<\/strong> and stone carvers<\/strong>….<\/p>\n

The two days are punctuated by various performances: combat demonstrations<\/strong>, knights’ tournaments<\/strong>, shows by theatre<\/strong>, music and juggling troupes<\/strong>, falconry shows<\/strong>, etc.<\/p>\n

Not forgetting the games course for children<\/strong> with the knighting of young knights, the beggars’ village<\/strong> and their camp, the witch’s cave<\/strong>, the medieval meal<\/strong> on Saturday evening (reservation required)…<\/p>\n
